WTC Twin TowersFive years ago today, 19 al-Qaeda terrorists hijacked four commercial passenger airlplanes and used them to take down the World Trade Center towers … and then some.

Bastards.

A confirmed 2,973 people — an overwhelming majority of whom were Americans — died as a result of the attacks and another 24 remain missing.

According to antiwar.com, the United States has lost 2,999 more American lives in Afghanistan and Iraq, and more than 20,000 have been wounded in these conflicts.

It’s senseless … and it needs to stop.

Especially, when you consider how our feeling and emotions were manipulated into thinking that this is the right thing to do to avenge the September 11 tragedy. And that if we didn’t agree, we were siding with the radical Islamic fundamentalists.

Like a lot of us, Blogging Boner bought into it. But now, all he feels is duped.
